It’s Official: Atlanta’s Michelin Guide is Here!

The Georgia Restaurant Association is thrilled to extend heartfelt congratulations to Atlanta’s very first Michelin Guide class! Thanks to years of dedication and commitment from the Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau, Atlanta joins just five other regions in the United States to receive this prestigious accolade - securing the city's status as a global destination. All award recipients were honored on Tuesday, October 25 at the Rialto Center in Downtown Atlanta – get to know them below: 

ONE STAR

The MICHELIN Star recognizes restaurants which source high-quality ingredients, have mastered attention to detail and taste, exhibit the executive chef’s personality throughout the menu, provide consistent service, and offer an unforgettable guest experience.  

GREEN STAR

The MICHELIN Green Star recognizes restaurants which exhibit a high standard of sustainability in daily operations, ingredient sourcing, and waste mitigation.  

MICHELIN SERVICE AWARD

The MICHELIN Service Award recognizes passionate individuals who elevate the guest experience through exceptional service.

EXCEPTIONAL COCKTAILS AWARD

The MICHELIN Exceptional Cocktails Award recognizes a restaurant or group of individuals who consistently craft innovative cocktails. 

SOMMELIER AWARD

The MICHELIN Sommelier Award recognizes a sommelier that exhibits exceptional knowledge of wine – including pairings, grape varieties, production techniques and areas of origin. 

MICHELIN YOUNG CHEF AWARD

The MICHELIN Young Chef Award recognizes an up-and-coming chef that exhibits culinary innovation and great potential in their industry. 

BIB GOURMAND

The MICHELIN Bib Gourmand Award recognizes unique restaurants that offer exceptional flavor and service at an accessible price point. 

RECOMMENDED RESTAURANTS

MICHELIN Recommended Restaurants are recognized for standing out above the rest – through their use of quality ingredients, creativity, and variety.
