Georgia Restaurant Association Foundation's ProStart Educator Bootcamp Unites Educators for Scholarship and Mentorship

On October 20th, the Georgia Restaurant Association Foundation (GRAF) hosted the ProStart Educator Bootcamp. The bootcamp, held at Ted's Montana Grill, brought together 15 passionate educators from 14 schools across the state of Georgia to explore scholarship, mentorship, and training opportunities within the ProStart program, a pivotal initiative for culinary education in Georgia.

One of the highlights of the event was the presence of the 2023 Educator of the Year, James Bryant. His attendance provided invaluable insights into the ProStart program, as he shared his experiences and offered unwavering support to fellow educators. James Bryant's presence underscored the significance of the ProStart program in developing and recognizing top talent within the culinary education landscape.

In November, the GRAF will host a Dekalb Educator Bootcamp, extending its reach to encompass nine more ProStart schools. This initiative marks an exciting step toward the continuous expansion and enhancement of the Georgia ProStart Program. By bringing more schools into the fold, the GRAF aims to further strengthen culinary education across the state.

For restaurant owners and industry professionals, this presents a golden opportunity to become actively involved in shaping the future of the culinary world. Whether you're interested in hosting an educator training session or offering your expertise as a mentor for ProStart schools, the door is wide open.
