Advocacy
The GRA works hard to build and sustain a favorable political environment. We advocate on your behalf to protect and add to the bottom line of your business with pre-emptive legislation and protection from frivolous law suits.
The GRA:
-
Lobbies key decision makers so they understand how legislation affects your restaurant business.
-
Hosts government affairs update calls during legislative session to keep you informed and answer your questions.
-
Notifies you of critical policy developments though our Action Alerts.
-
Monitors thousands of legislative and regulatory initiatives.
-
Organizes and manages grassroots issue advocacy campaigns and the GRA-PAC (political action committee) to promote pro-business candidates and legislation.
-
Hosts events such as our Golf Tournament and Wind Down by the River in support of the National Restaurant Association Restaurant Political Action Committee (NRA PAC) and the GRA PAC. Through your attendance at these events, we are able to reach candidates who will advance a pro-restaurant, pro-business legislative agenda, fight burdensome legislation and address the issues that are most important to you.
