Moore Colson, an award-winning accounting, consulting, and advisory firm in Atlanta, announced Partner and Hospitality Practice Leader Brian Renshaw has joined the Georgia Restaurant Association (GRA) board. GRA’s board, led by GRA CEO Karen Bremer, is comprised of hospitality veterans and supporters, with the ultimate goal of protecting and advancing Georgia’s restaurant industry.

The GRA has been the voice for Georgia’s restaurants since 1906. Now with over 7,700 members consisting of restaurants, industry partners, community organizations and students, the association serves as the unified voice for over 18,400 eating and drinking place locations in the state of Georgia with total sales over $22.9 billion. According to the GRA, Georgia’s restaurants provide their communities with more than 488,000 jobs statewide, and its goal is to make Georgia a better place for restaurants and restaurants better for Georgia.

Renshaw joined GRA’s board in 2020, bringing over 20 years of experience in the hospitality and real estate industries. In his role as the leader of Moore Colson’s Hospitality Practice, he works with a variety of clients with a focus on restaurants, hotels and resorts. In the Real Estate Practice, he works with registered investment advisors who construct, develop, own, lease, syndicate, advise and manage all classes of real estate assets, many in the hospitality space. Renshaw is also a practice area leader in Moore Colson’s Employee Benefit Plan Practice, working with a variety of employee benefit plans as well as plans required to be filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Renshaw, CPA, has a Bachelor of Science in both Accounting and Business from Centenary College and a Master of Business Administration from Louisiana State University (LSU). He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants (GSCPA) and the Louisiana Society of Certified Public Accountants (LSCPA). He is a former board member at Trinity Community Ministries and a current board member and treasurer at LSU Atlanta.

“I am honored to join GRA’s board,” noted Renshaw. “The GRA and its board have a strong legacy of advocating for the restaurant industry and bringing positive change that supports the hospitality community and Georgia, and I look forward to working alongside Karen Bremer and my fellow board members to continue delivering on that mission.”
