United Way invites you to participate in the upcoming DAY OF ACTION on June 21st. This is a national strategic effort on the longest day of the year to advance the common good. More than 74,000 individuals participated nationwide last year.
To celebrate United Way's 125th anniversary, they have created 125 volunteer opportunities. The activities range from a scheduled project at a local nonprofit, to something on your own for a neighbor or an activity for a workplace team at the office. A few of the options include:
• Create a home away from home by donating bedding for children receiving treatment
• Help your local library prepare for reading programs
• Paint line games in children's centers
• Host a clothing drive at work & donate items to a local nonprofit
