Mission

Mission:
Our mission is to serve the needs of Georgia's restaurant and foodservice industries by providing a voice and value for its members in four key cornerstones:

  • Political Advocacy
  • Professional Development
  • Business Development
  • Community Involvement

Political Advocacy
Through our lobbyists (The Vaquer Firm), Political Action Committee and dedicated Public Affairs Director, the GRA gives you a voice in the legislature and fights for the causes which affect your bottom line. Legislative Updates keep you informed on the latest issues that affect our industry, and Political Action Alerts give you a chance to get involved on a grass roots level.

Professional Development
The GRA offers all restaurant members incredible savings on our one-day ServSafe® training; as well as a 20% discount on all National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF) related product. In addition, the GRA Professional Development Committee operates with the mission of generating, organizing and providing dynamic and valuable content for quarterly meetings, workshops and other outlets such as our Community Forum at Discuss-GRA.com. The GRA iPD (Institute for Professional Development) provides a suite of affordable professional development opportunities, including on-demand training and expert advice.

Business Development
Enhance your business by networking and connecting with your peers at an assortment of GRA meetings/events and through the GRA website. Business-to-Business exchanges are enhanced by our Discounted Business Services and Buyer's Guide - available to all Members of the GRA. These services are designed to save you money, as you support those who enhance Georgia's Restaurant Industry through GRA membership.

Community Involvement
The GRA supports our community through a range of efforts benefiting organizations such as the Atlanta Community Food Bank (Hunger Walk), Communities in Schools (Dine Out for Kids), March of Dimes (Dining Out), Chocolate for Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Share Our Strength (Great American Dine Out, Operation Frontline, Taste of the Nation, Great American Baking Contest), and many more. Also, we support the work of the Hospitality Education Foundation of Georgia - a nonprofit organization that bridges the gap between Georgia's high schools and the hospitality industry. Georgia's restaurants excel at giving back to the community, winning numerous NRA Restaurant Neighbor Awards. The GRA is here to help by highlighting and lending a helping hand to their hard work.
